Registration office in Mumbai District, Taluka Mumbai City having 19 Divisions i.e. Bhuleshwar, Byculla, Colaba, Dadar – Naigaum, Dharavi, Fort, Girgaum, Lower Parel, Mahim, Malbhar Hill and Cumbala Hill, Mandvi, Matunga, Mazgaon, Parel – Sewri, Princess Dock, Salt Pan, Sion, Tardeo and Worli.

When anyone purchases an immovable property he or she needs to get register the instrument under The Registration Act, 1908 within prescribe time of four (4) months from the date of execution mentioned in the instrument / document at the office of Registrar of Assurance in which the property is situated.

If delay for presenting the instrument / document then one can make an application to the respective sub-registrar for condonation of the presentation, and can grant permission for next four (4) months, and the registrar may agree to register such instrument / documents, on payment of a fine that may be up to ten times the original registration fee.

If the property purchased is a resale, under construction or ready possession the registration charges is one (1) percent with a cap of Rs. 30000/- on the market value or on value of consideration mentioned in document or instrument whichever is lower.

How To Pay Stamp Duty And Registration Fee
